Russian volume or classic lashes? What’s the difference?

Difference between classic and Russian volume lashes is the number and the thickness of single false lashes applied to each one of your natural lashes.
Many people mistakenly believe that the volume of false eyelash extensions depends on the thickness of the applied hairs. This is not true. The volume is created by individual lashes (check out our eyelash glue for individual lashes) – the more we add to a single natural lash, the more flirty and dramatic your look becomes.
Classic lashes
For classic lashes, only one lash extension is stuck onto one natural lash. The diameter of each lash extension typically ranges from 0.15, 0.20 and 0.25 mm. This gives a natural look with simply lengthening and darkening the natural lashes. The length of the lashes and the type of curl largely depends on your client’s preference. She decides how much she wants to turn her look.
Classic lashes come in different types of curl: from a subtle C curl to a raised D curl, and a wide range in between. Classic eyelashes are a convenient solution for both the client and the stylist. They are relatively easy to apply, more flexible than Russian volume lashes, so it should not pose any problems to work with client’s individual hairs. You can easily select appropriate false eyelashes to different eye shapes and defect on the eyelids or hide scars.
You can use classic lashes for a wide range of eyelash styling and, depending on makeup and they can look just as natural with no makeup and clothes. The 0.15 and 0.20mm classic lashes do not draw as much attention to the eyes as other types of lashes, making them ideal for clients who want to look natural, while the 0.25mm thick extensions can be a good alternative for volume lashes.
Russian volume in ready-made fans for ladies who want to look glamorous
Russian volume lashes are usually sold in ready-made fans, usually consisting of 5 to 8 artificial lashes, each 0.05 to 0.07mm thick in diameter. Each such ready-made fan is applied over one natural lash.
Russian volume lashes usually give off the appearance of a thicker look, creating perfectly symmetrical lash line, while the classic ones give much softer lash lines because their thickness is much less.

Classic or Russian volume lashes: which style do you choose?
Clients who are newcomers to the lash world often start with the classic lashes, and after getting used to the extensions, they choose Russian volumes, which create a thicker, fuller and more dramatic look. To make the right decision whether to choose classic extensions or Russian volumes, the most important factors to consider are the strength and thickness of your clients’ natural lashes, as well as the final appearance you want to achieve. For ladies with thick and dense natural lashes you can easily apply volume lashes, because these lashes can withstand such a heavy load.
However, it is better to choose classic lashes if the natural ones are dense, but not too thick. Russian volume lashes can help to get a beautiful look. For ladies who have weak and thin their natural lashes, we recommend using a delicate 3D volume or classic eyelash extensions with a thickness of 0.20mm or more. Both selections will guarantee a truly, spectacular effect.
Remember, though, that the best lashes are those that fit your client’s style, personality and make her feel comfortable.
